How to use your own domain for your online shop
You can use your own domain (mishop.com, say) instead of your Catinfog subdomain (yourshop.catinfog.com).
To use your own domain you first have to buy it. If you haven’t bought one yet, we’d suggest dondominio.com or ovh.com.
How to point your domain at Catinfog
Once you have your own domain, you need to point it at Catinfog.
It’s a simple enough job, but if you’ve never done it before you may prefer to ring us and let us handle it.
But if you’d still rather do it yourself, here’s what to do:
- Make sure the domain’s root isn’t pointing at any IP address, whether by an A record or a CNAME.
- Crea dos dns de tipo Cname:
- One from the root to your Catinfog subdomain.
- From www to your Catinfog subdomain.
- Let us know you’ve pointed your domain by emailing info@catinfog.com. Tell us your subdomain and your new domain.
And that’s it. Within a few hours we’ll email you to say your online shop is live on your domain.
